On Friday, December 15, the final conference of the project "Social inclusion and empowerment of Roma in Satu Mare County" took place. The event was attended by representatives of partners, project beneficiaries and Roma community leaders.
For the last two years, we have been happy to be promoting partners in the project "Social inclusion and empowerment of Roma in Satu Mare County". With a funding of € 906,896.86 (4,414,864.62 Lei) from the EEA Funds 2014-2021 and the Romanian Government, the project aimed to increase social inclusion and empowerment of Roma in Satu Mare County.
This project has brought significant benefits to partner communities, with 1300 people from vulnerable families, including 1250 Roma, benefiting from integrated services. It has also carried out a range of activities, such as awareness campaigns and remedial education for children, investment in health infrastructure and training for staff and volunteers.
Partners and local authorities from the 10 communities in the region have worked enthusiastically together to promote social inclusion and support these vulnerable families. This project is a significant step towards increasing Roma inclusion and improving the quality of life in this region.
