Aim of the project
The project aims to increase Roma inclusion and empowerment in Satu Mare County, by providing integrated services for 1300 people from vulnerable families (1250 of which Roma) and by increasing the capacity of local public authorities in 10 communities in Satu Mare County to act effectively for their social inclusion.

Beneficiaries
1300 people from families in vulnerable situations (including 1250 Roma) from the city of Tășnad (Sărăuad and Cervechi neighborhoods), Ardud (Roma neighborhood), and 8 villages in Satu Mare County: Stîna (Socond commune), Pelișor (Lazuri commune), Hrip (Păulești commune), Irina (Andrid commune), Cidreag (Porumbești commune), Atea (Dorolț commune), Santău (Santău commune), Turulung (Turulung commune).

4,414,864.62 lei of which 3,752,634.93 lei EEA Grant and public co-financing of 662,229.69 lei
The project responds to urgent needs identified among vulnerable groups, in particular Roma, in 10 communities in the region:
- lack of hygiene and family planning education,
- lack of remedial education,
- lack of basic personal hygiene,
- poor health;
- young people lack the knowledge, motivation and skills to access the labor market,
- low capacity of local authorities to respond to the problems of vulnerable communities
- lack of trained human resources.
The project aims to increase Roma inclusion and empowerment in Satu Mare County, by providing integrated services for 1300 people from vulnerable families (1250 of which are Roma) and by increasing the capacity of local public authorities in 10 communities in Satu Mare County to act effectively for their social inclusion.
Specific objectives:
- Provision of complementary and adapted educational services in 10 localities in the region of Salma for at least 680 children, mostly Roma, in vulnerable situations (youth and children), through non-formal means, non-formal activities, a remedial education program for 80 vulnerable pupils in Hrip and empowerment activities for at least 100 young Roma mothers;
- facilitating access to employment for 620 inactive young Roma from 10 communities in the region of Salma, by raising awareness of equal opportunities on the labor market, by acquiring the information, skills and means necessary to access a job, as well as by mediation on the labor market for at least 100 of the young people;
- provision of health services for 680 vulnerable children and 620 vulnerable people, mostly Roma, through the creation of a first aid service in 10 target communities, by promoting and facilitating the observance of basic hygiene rules (on personal and collective health and hygiene, disease prevention, first aid, nutrition, contraception) and investment in 10 communal bathrooms during the project implementation.
- to increase local capacities in 10 multi-ethnic communities in the region to manage the problems faced by Roma by training 15 health mediators and 15 community facilitators to work with Roma communities during the 8 months of project implementation.
Expected results:
to increase the inclusion of 1300 vulnerable people in Satu Mare County (adults, young people or children, including Roma).
Increasing local capacities in 10 communities in Salma to manage the problems faced by Roma by training 15 health mediators and 15 community facilitators to work with Roma people.
