The first sanitary containers installed in Tășnad, Sărăuad, Ardud and Stâna

The first sanitary containers purchased by the Satu Mare County Intercommunity Development Association as part of the “Social inclusion and empowerment of Roma in Satu Mare County” project were installed in Tășnad, Sărăuad, Ardud and Stâna. The sanitary containers (one for men and one for women) are fully equipped with showers, sinks, toilets, washing machines, and tumble dryers. The installation of sanitary containers will continue until mid-September in the following localities: Cidreag (Porumbești commune), Turulung (Turulung commune), Irina (Andrid commune), Santău (Santău commune), Pelișor (Lazuri commune) and Atea (Dorolț commune). The total value of the purchase contract is 795,000 lei plus VAT, the location of the sanitary containers contributing to the provision of health services for 1,300 people from families in vulnerable situations in the communities where they will be located. The project “Social inclusion and empowerment of Roma from Satu Mare County” has as its main objective the increase of inclusion and empowerment of Roma from Satu Mare County and is financed by the Program “Local Development, poverty reduction and increasing inclusion of Roma “, the EEA and Norwegian Grants 2014-2021, the call for projects “Increasing inclusion and empowering Roma” and the Government of Romania. The total eligible value of the project is 4,414,864.62 Lei, of which 3,752,634.93 Lei represent EEA and Norwegian Grants and 662,229.69 Lei represent public co-financing.
